Our philosophy
Our philosophy is to offer professional health care services that you deserve using a traditional Chinese Medicine approach. Dr Chan is specialized in analyzing and treating you as a whole person by taking into consideration of physical, mental and emotional well-being. She provides pulse and tongue diagnosis, acupuncture, herbal medicine, pain and stress management techniques, as well as non-needle acupuncture and other approaches which fulfill different people’s needs. Dr. Chan was inspired by the story of Sharon, which was a biblical city in the book of Isaiah. Sharon was destroyed and later blessed with healing and eventually turned into a beautiful and flourishing farmland. She is passionate about helping patients balance their health to recover and thrive like Sharon.
Meet Our Doctor
Dr. Josephine Chan
DOM, AP, RDH
Dr. Josephine Chan was born in Hong Kong which is a melting pot of Chinese and Western culture. Chinese food therapy, Chinese medicine and home remedies have been part of her life since childhood. Once she was hospitalized in Hong Kong and there she experienced a wholehearted medical team was which was a necessary component for her recovery. This inspired her to be part of a health care service that helps others.
After moving to the United States, she became a registered dental hygienist in 2004. Her extensive education, along with her observation and communication skills, help patients understand and improve their own health conditions. Many clients compliment her gentle technique & patient-oriented care.
In 2012 she enrolled in the Florida College of Integrative Medicine (FCIM). During her clinical trials, she surpassed the patient count requirement. In 2016, Dr. Chan graduated from FCIM and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Health Studies and a Master of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine. As a primary health care provider, she has a passion for providing knowledge, skills, and sincere health care services to the community of Orlando.
Dr. Josephine Chan is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. She is a member of The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture (NCCOAM), Florida State Oriental Medical Association (FSOMA), American Dental Hygienists Association (ADHA), and Greater Orlando Dental Hygienists' Association (GODHA).
